My Cuttlebug produces the biggest oohs and aahs from friends who receive my cards. Function 1 - embossing. The uninitiated cannot believe you actually did this yourself ! How amazing ! You are so talented ! Don't ever let them know, from start to finish, that embossing took you less than a minute. Best secret of scrappers EVER. Function 2 - die cuts. Spellbinders are also amazing, and I saw that Cuttlebug is now coming out with some fancy similar dies. Using paper other than cardstock (vellum, metallic, nubby stuff what ever it is called) produces even better stuff. This is the one tool you cannot be without - it will function forever and you will always be happy you made the investment. So, if you are thinking about it, run run run to the store and snap it up fast !!

Wow...couldn't have said it better if Provocraft wrote about the Cuttlebug themselves... they should consider hiring you! :-) I love my Cuttlebug too...and embossing...oh yea baby! :-)

I LOVE my Cuttlebug!! There is rarely a project where I don't use it in some way. Today I'd like to share a tip that I used for my layout for this week's challenge: Cuttlebug Lesson #1Using Chipboard Alphas and Your Cuttlebug1. Choose the chipboard for your title and ink or paint it and leave to dry . 2. Choose the embossing folder you'd like to use. 3. Set up like you would usually to emboss - A plate, B plate, Embossing folder, B plate. WARNING: chipboard comes in various thicknesses and may not go through your Cuttlebug easily. DO NOT force anything through as this could damage your Cuttlebug. If it doesn't seem to want to fit try removing one B plate and replacing it with something thinner. 4. After you've put the chipboard through it's a good idea to wash or wipe down the embossing folder as often it might get covered by the ink or paint and will transfer onto the next thing you emboss. 5. You can leave the chipboard as is or cover in Dimensional Magic for extra dimension.
