I've been inspired by the layouts of our amazing DT members lately to try my hand at scrapbooking! I haven't done anything with photos since I finished a college album about 15 years ago using Creative Memories products. Back then, the "style" was simple pages (though mine were always embellished a bit!) with a number of photos per page and less other stuff. When I see pages today on the blogs of the paper manufacturers I see one photo surrounded by embellishments and a lot of white space. I guess my question is - how do you like to scrapbook? How do you get an entire event like a wedding or a honeymoon into an album if all you put is one photo? Do you have other photos in a "regular" album and the pick of the litter in a special album?

Yay! I hope you will give it a try! I look forward to seeing your pages! Most of my layouts have more than one photo. The only ones that I use one photo on are the ones for Design team (I don't know why) but they are usually one really great photo or a professional photo. When I am doing an event I pick the very best photos and only scrap those. I do as many layouts as it takes to scrap the photos I want. I hope that helps!

LOL - I am really good at shoving photos in a box, it makes me happy. I did do scrapbooks for my daughter that had all the newspaper stories about her, from when she was 9 til she was 17. That filled 4 scrapbooks. If I had done REAL scrapbooking, and made things look all beautiful those 4 books would have grown into about 20... She still looks at those 4 scrapbooks all the time, but I know she would never have loved and appreciated anything fancy... so I am stickin' with my cards! (and aren't you a darling to even suggest I should try !)

I try to do multiple photo layouts too. If it's for a special occasion...like my Prom or something like that I will do a one photo layout. I am addicted to embellishments so I usually don't have a lot of white space on my pages.
