I am sure by now you've figured from my tutorials at Papercraft Star that I love to create my own embellishments - from handmade flowers, to ribbon, digital stamps, and recycled fabric around the house. It's a great way to save money, especially to I can spend it on other supplies like at Papertrey Ink. lol
Do you prefer to buy your embellishments or do you enjoy creating your own? What do you enjoy making the most? Do you have link to a handmade embellishment you'd like to share?
Ok that was more than one question...I just couldn't help myself!

I do buy a lot of metal things, obviously I can't make those ! I like to create things, and sometimes I will copy something I see in a package, and sometimes I just buy it ! Awk, who knows - depends on if I can get it on sale I think !

Hands down, my favorite thing to make is flowers. I don't buy flowers anymore. I have a few left in my stash but I always seem to pass them over for one of my own instead. I would also love to lean how to make my own buttons, but I haven't tried it yet.

I have been loving your flower tutorials, Kim and they have inspired me to try to start making my own embellishments! I've always bought them but now when I see things at the store I think "hey, I can make that!" so now I just need to start!
I have some rolled paper flowers on a card for the Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge tomorrow that I tried for the first time. I think they're pretty but stick out a little too far for cards. I've got an idea for my next tutorial here but need to practice first to make sure they come out okay, lol.

I would also love to lean how to make my own buttons, but I haven't tried it yet. I just did a DT project for I Brake For Stamps and I made my own buttons! It is so fun! I used Shrinky dinks, staz on and Bic Permanent markers!!!

I do a little of both. I have been crocheting my little heart out while I watch American idol. I have made 90ish crocheted flowers in different colors, so I have been using several of those on my projects lately. I enjoy making my own embellies and using store bought. It really depends on the look I want! Great question Kim!

I love making my own embellies if possible. I do still buy a few flowers here and there, but the challenge of creating my own is what feeds my crafty soul. I'm always on the hunt for tutorials for new handmade embellies.

I am so slack at making my own embellies. I tend to have very limited time to craft so when I do I just want to grab something cute and go. Now, I have all the supplies in the world to create some fantastic embellies...I guess I just need to learn some patience...
