Recently an old high school friend found my blog. I found out she also makes cards and scrapbooks and lives just down the street from me! We are planning on taking a class together from Margie of The Girls Paperie. Thought this would be a fun thing to do...catch up on old times while scrappjng together.
I was wondering how many of you get together and craft with your friends? Obviously most of our crafting is done alone but is having crafting time with friends something you do or would like to do?

My bff and I made a ton of wedding invitations for her daughter - it was really tedious, and I was sure glad to have the company. But, none of my friends make cards, which means I end up going to things by myself, not so much fun. And I really really dislike not having all my own supplies with me if I have to go somewhere else to craft. I did become friends with Susan Conrad, a most amazing crafter here at wwwone4joydaily.blogspot.com/ - we met on another challenge, and found out we lived only 2-3 miles from one another. She and I mostly talk about what we do ! But, she did help me with stamping, so I am a much better stamper thanks to her. It would be amazing to have 4 or 5 friends here who do the same things I do - blog and work on a DT. I would love that.

I have a few friends who like to make cards - problem is they don't live close by but we're planning a girls weekend one of these months we can escape from work and find somewhere we can all meet up (we live in San Francisco, Denver, and Minneapolis!) I participate in monthly events with my SU demo which is always fun for new ideas. I have one friend locally who used to make cards until her son was born and now she doesn't have time (or doesn't make time - I don't know, I don't have kids yet!)

I like crafting with friends, but I don't like to go to other places to do it. I'm more comfortable in my own room. I do go to classes and I do belong to a SU club that meets once a month. Those are always fun because I don't have to worry about what to pack. Most of my close friends that are living by me don't craft like I do But when Beth and I get together we craft together. That's lots of fun because I get to use her stuff and it's like shopping in a store! Although, last visit we didn't get a ton done...we talked a lot. Wonder if we will get anything accomplished this visit?

Well, with the move I have no friends yet. My girls aren't in school yet and I don't work so that makes it somewhat difficult to meet people. We just signed Emma up for Soccer, so I am hoping that both of us can make some friends! LOL I did have a couple friends in Florida that I enjoyed crafting with and I would go to my church's scrapbook crops. I love crafting with others but do enjoy it more at my home where I don't have to pack things! LOL

I love to craft with friends too. We don't get a lot done because we are always talking waaaayyyy too much. I hope to craft with Catherine Schroeder soon. She was just on the design team here at PCS. Found out that she lives by Archivers - my fave scrapbook store. Also visiting California this summer. Hope to meet and craft with scrapbook buddies there too.

I'm a lone ranger crafter here. None of my friends are into scrapping. I occasionally go to a crop at a LSS but like the other ladies have already stated, I HATE to have to pack stuff to take with me. I never have what I need no matter how much I take. I would love to be able to get together with Jan and craft although I don't know how much crafting we would actually get done. LOL

I would love that Tracy - but you are right, we wouldn't accomplish a thing !!

I am very lucky. Two of my best friends both scrap and make cards. We try and get together when we can but we all have our own craft spaces at home so we always find it so much easier to stay home...although this coming weekend we are going to a 3 day crop in Virginia to get away!
