Do you buy kits or do you prefer to mix and match?

It depends - sometimes I like to buy kits. Especially if the collection is one I really like. But most times I like to mix and match. That way I also use up more of the stuff I have.

If I were making cards to have a lovely finished product, I would only use kits. But I do this because I need the creative outlet, and part of that is putting things together that I like. Many years ago I did some work for a supplier, and their credo was "the simpler the better" and "people want to get handmade things done quickly." That is just the opposite of how I work.
I have picked up kits here and there that I have found in some clearance bin - but they are quickly torn apart and put to use in different projects.

I used to put my own stuff together but I joined a kit club several months ago and I'm hooked. I also figured out that I couldn't but together as much stuff as I get in my kit for the same price. I joined Little Red Scrapbook and it's only $30 a month including shipping and they give you quite a bit of stuff. I was impressed and that's why I stuck with them.

I have to say that I do love to mix and match... but I am really into getting the Studio Calico kits... when I do my first project with each one of the kits, the layout goes together easier than any other time I sit down to create a layout. I'm sold on their kits in other words!:-)

I mix and match too. My tastes vary way too much to just stick to one kind of look or design.

I'm definitely a mixer/matcher, but I do love the crafting kits from my fave manufacturers like Cosmo, Sassafras, and Webster's. I love the coordinated colors of the embellishments, etc.

I would say kits but I think it depends on what I'm working on. Sometimes mixing and matching works better with my photos. I do love the ease of kits though!
