Good morning!
I may have mentioned that my hubby got me a fabby new EZ View Desk from Scrap Box for Christmas and I've been having a ball reorganizing and rediscovering lots of supplies over the past few weeks! Today I'm wondering how you organize supplies! By color? Manufacturer? Season?
I typically organize stamps and dp by manufacturer, card stock by color. But, I'm wondering about seasons - should I lump all of that stuff in with everything else or keep it separate?

You are so organized. I just put all my stamps together, chipboard together, inks together, etc. I don't group by manufacturer or color.
I do organized my paper though (by color, embossed together, holiday paper together, etc.)

Mostly I just keep things "organized" (and I say that very loosely) by clumping them all together, just like Angi does. However, I keep my fall paper, ribbon and stamps all together, and Christmas, well that all goes in one spot too. I do that because I have so much treasure, I need to put away the stuff I won't use for the next six months.
I would love to sort out my paper by color, but frankly I don't quite know how to do that.

I think you just have to do what works for you. For me, I go by manufacturer on design paper and color on cardstock. That's just what works best for me.

I also go by manufacturer for patterned paper and colour for cardstock. I think it's too hard to divide the patterned paper for me. I read once that someone divided their patterned paper by themes but as so many are now double sided it would be too hard. eg. some have flowers, stripes, dots, patterns, pictures all in one line. And a whole heap of different colours. I would have no idea how to store this so manufacturer works for me.

I have sort my DP and the matching chipboard (if I have it) by manufacturer and my 8 1/2 x 11 by color. It's all in clear drawers marked on the outside as well...

My stuff is sorted mostly like Angi I guess. My loose paper is divided into a drawer each of plain cardstock, specialty, patterned and miscellaneous. I'm really limited on space so I can't spread stuff out to much.

I've been storing my papers by manufacturer and my card stock by color. But now that I have a ginormous stash of paper I find it overwhelming sometimes to find patterned paper I want to use. Sometimes I forget what I have or can't find a style I'm looking for. Maybe I should sort them all my color instead? I have no idea what works best.

One more thing.....I did separate all my seasonal items during the past Halloween. When the holidays were over, I separated all the supplies and put them in one storage container to save space. Now they are all ready for next season, all neat and tidy.
Watch by next year I will forget I have them. I'm silly that way and would probably end up buying all new stuff. Ha!

I sort my patterned paper by Manufacturer and My card stock by color. I don't separate by seasons but I have been considering that. Right now it's all packed in plastic container for the move.
