Today I was looking up papercrafting terms and came across this definition for vellum.... ewwwwwwww... I'm so glad we don't use REAL vellum in our projects!
Definition: Real vellum is made from the skin of young livestock, but the kind usually referred to in crafts and scrapbooking is paper that is specially treated so it has some translucency.
I know this thread isn't suppose to be paper-related (because I organized the board...lol)...but I didn't know where else to put this particular post... I just felt I had to share the ewwwww-ness of this... :-)

Interesting but yucky! I'm also glad scrapbooking decided to use the paper version and not the livestock version!

and I totally thought 'real' vellum was when I was paying $2 bucks a sheet! Ick! I would think it would have to be cleaned, cleaned, cleaned and then stretched and scraped and EWEEEEEEE
