An acquaintance of mine told me she got started scrapping when she went to a baby shower, and each person made a page for the mom. Doesn't that sound like a great party !
I made a bunch of holiday invitations last Christmas for all of our entertaining. I had so much fun doing it, and in January I found all of the challenge blogs on line. In February I was up and running with a blog, and into my first challenge.
How about you? How did YOU get started ??

Well, I think my twin sister had something to do with it... She had started, but then when I got newspaper clippings from vball games, I had to do something with them! Now, my scrapbook are my family photo albums! I love reminiscing (sp?)!

I started to realize that I wasn't making anytime for myself after I started staying home with kids. I was used to being able to get drinks after work, shopping with friends and overall being able to do things ALONE, and all the sudden I couldn't.
Pictures were building up, and I wasn't real sure what to go about doing with them. Photography has always been a big part of my life, but since having children it SHOT, like a lead bolt to the top of my priority list. I take so many photos and wanted to make an attractive way to share them.
This, as well as my lack of attention span... and needing to stop every 10-20 minutes because of a crying baby, someone needing a new diaper or other reasons made cardmaking easier for me. I got much less frustrated when I needed to stop, and could easily resume my thought process after the distraction!

A guy that I was dating (about 15 years ago or so) had a sister-in-law that was really into scrapbooking... Creative Memories... her and I got to be great pals and she got me started... but after a few years I stopped for a long time... and finally got started again last year... I never did cards before this past October though... and now it seems like I do those more often than I scrapbook...even though I love scrapbooking more... go figure. :-)

I first saw scrapbooking four years ago when I returned from my stint in Europe. But didn't think I would get into it. Then two years ago I walked into a scrapbooking shop and saw all those pretty papers, all those gorgeous embellishments....and the rest, as they say, is history!!! ;D

I started out with Creative Memories in 1997, I only did it for about 1 year or so...less than 2 years I remember for sure. Then last year when my company pulled out of the USA, I had a lot more free time. I took a few classes on cardmaking and got excited about paper crafts again. I found the blogs and YT channels and a crafting I went. That was about October of last year. I started by own blog in February of this year and now here I am!

Well about 3 years ago I was introduced to Stampin' Up! I later became a demostrator and started making cards. After about a year I started doing LOs and then I found YouTube. After that I was hooked and decided I should get my own YT channel and blog!

I've always been doing something crafty. And when I get bored with something I move on for a bit and then come back. But in 2007 I saw the cricut at walmart and just knew I needed to have one. So I ended up getting it for my birthday a few weeks later and haven't looked back. I got it so I could really work on LOs and as much as I love doing LOs I find myself making cards like crazy. But it's my "me" time and I love it!!

I started as an SU! Demo when I graduated high school - I had demo I loved and a bunch of friends who were oh so crafty and she suggested I become her downline and cater to the younger crowd. I was hooked for several years. My first scrapbooks use only cardstock and stamps. Then I discovered patterned paper and stickers and went the other end of the spectrum for a couple of years. Now, I feel like a balance between scrapbooking and stamping. Love all the new clears stamps out there! What's not to love about both.
