What photo editing software do you use and why? I used Photoshop CS2... simply because I had the whole suite of Adobe Products when I was publishing my magazine for Ionia County... I put Elements 7 on our little mini computer and I really like it...but the screen is so small on that computer I never use it!!
Would love to hear what everyone else is using and why.

I generally use Picasa, it came on the computer when I got it back from our techie friend and it is so simple. It has some great features that make 'fixing' photos easy. It has an 'I'm feeling lucky' button that auto brightens or darkens photos that need it, and the fill light adjustments are simple too. With photos, it is a click of the button to make them sepia, black and white, glowing, etc. Very good for quick and simple edits.

I have Photoshop Elements 6 cause that's what I bought. hee hee I had no clue about photo editing software but I wanted something and that's what Wally World had so that's what I got. It has so many capabilities but I know very little about how to use it (even thought I bought one of those For Dummies books). I have figured out how to using the editing features enough to do the basic size and color enhancements and even a little bit of photo fixing.

(so much stuff to learn ... so little time) and I think I know just enough to be dangerous! :-)

I just use the iPhoto program that my computer came with. It isn't super fancy but I can still do quite a few things with it. I really want PhotoShop but it's $100 for the elements mac version and I don't know when I would have time to learn how to use it.

Kristina- do you have a mac? I'm thinking about getting a macbook of some sort, and I've heard nothing but great things about all their photography related editing programs. I might have to go back to school if I do get one, I'm thinking it might be worth it though!

I just got a copy of PSE9. I am learning how to use it now and trying my hand at some digi scrapping. Anyone else out there trying this? I am curious about any of digital scrappers reading in on the board.

It's funny though because I created most of my layouts digital, but then I always forget to post them on my blog. Ha!

Glad to know that you are out there and experienced. I am getting started with tutorials through Jessica Sprague's website. I am so excited to spend my Christmas vacation playing!

I use Photobucket but it does not work well all the time. I'm going to try Picassa and PSE soon. I'm starting to take classes with Jessica Sprague. Would love to hear how you like it Cecilia.

I use Picasa and I like it but I don't do too much to my photos except crop, add light, and change to b&W.
